How it works

01

Tell us what's happening

Two minutes on the quiz or one phone call. We listen to the care needs, the budget and the timeline.

02

Get a real short list

We match you with licensed communities that actually have space and fit your budget, never a directory dump.

03

Tour with support

We arrange visits, ask the awkward questions and stay with you through move-in. Always free to your family.

Finding a home takes more than a list

Why families choose us over a directory or a national referral line.

We see every community ourselves

Every place we recommend, we have walked through. We know the dining room, the staff and what the brochure leaves out.

Your details are not sold or blasted out

We never sell your information, and we do not hand it to a dozen communities at once. We share it with the places you decide to visit.

One person, start to finish

The advisor you talk to today is the one standing with you on move-in day. No handoffs, no call center queue.

We ask the hard questions

Staff turnover, what happens when care needs change, what the price really includes. We ask so you do not have to.

The Life difference

We come from healthcare, not from a call list.

Life Senior Placement is part of Life, a New Jersey healthcare organization that has cared for seniors for seven years, including many residents living in senior communities around the state.

That work gives us a real picture of these buildings. So when we recommend a place, it is not from a brochure. We know how the staff treats residents on a Tuesday afternoon, not just on tour day.

Part of a real healthcare organization

The person who'll actually pick up the phone

No call center. No handoffs. One advisor who knows New Jersey senior living and stays with you from the first call to move-in day.

Nina is a Certified Assisted Living Administrator who ran assisted living communities in New Jersey as executive director. She has been on the inside of these buildings, so she knows how they are staffed and run. She tours them herself and stays with you from the first call to move-in day.

Families who've been where you are

The worry, the timing, the guilt. Here is what families tell us afterwards.

I was terrified we would pick the wrong place and Mom would feel abandoned. Nina walked three buildings with us and told us plainly which one she would choose for her own mother.
Sarah, daughter, Morristown
Dad was being discharged on a Friday and we had no plan. They had two options with open rooms by Saturday morning and handled the paperwork with the rehab.
Michael, son, Toms River
What surprised me was that nobody pushed. One person stayed with us the whole way, and she still calls to ask how my husband is settling in.

What "231 verified communities" actually means

Every community on this site is matched to its New Jersey state licence record, so the address, licence status, bed count and care types come from the state, not from a marketing page. We then write and check each profile ourselves before it goes live.

Questions families ask us

How much does assisted living cost in New Jersey?

Most assisted living communities in New Jersey run between $5,500 and $8,500 a month. The number moves with the care level, the room type and the town. Memory care usually runs higher, and nursing homes higher still.

Is your service really free for families?

Yes. Families pay us nothing. When a family moves into a community we introduced them to, the community pays a placement fee. That fee does not change your rent or your care costs.

Who pays for senior living?

Most families pay privately at first, often using retirement income, savings or the sale of a home. Long-term care insurance, veterans benefits and, for nursing homes, New Jersey Medicaid can all play a part. We help you work out which apply.

How fast can you move if we are discharging from a hospital?

Same day in most cases. Call us and we will check which licensed communities have a room open, arrange a tour or a virtual walkthrough and coordinate with the discharge planner.

What is the difference between assisted living and a nursing home?

Assisted living is housing with help for daily things like dressing, medication and meals. A nursing home provides round-the-clock skilled nursing care for complex medical needs.

What happens on a tour?

We come with you, or brief you beforehand if you prefer to go alone. We look at staffing, dining, activity levels and what care is included, and we ask the awkward questions on your behalf.
